Do you have old tires collecting dust in your garage? Couldn't find any takers on Facebook? Not to worry, the County is here to help you get rid of them before the winter. From 9/2 - 9/20, you can drop your old tires at the SMC Waste Transfer Station, located at 1100 CRAA4 in Norwood, free of charge. The Transfer Station will be open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tires accepted include passenger tires (no rims), light truck tires (no rims) and ATV tires (no rims). Please note, only nine tires per vehicle will be accepted, and all tires must be free of any contamination (dirt, etc.). Commercial operations are not allowed to participate in this event. Questions?
