(August 10, 2026) - The Berkeley County Commission on Aug. 6 voted unanimously to adopt a resolution opposing the Valley Link Transmission (Valley North) Project. which is proposed to include an approximately 260-mile, 765-kilovolt electric transmission line and associated substations extending from the John Amos Power Plant in Putnam County, West Virginia, through numerous West Virginia counties to Frederick County, Md.
