Voters: Check For Polling Location Changes
Burlington County Election officials are reminding residents who are planning to vote in the upcoming June 2nd New Jersey Primary Election to be aware of several changes to polling locations and voting districts.
The Burlington County Board of Elections changed the boundaries of voting districts in the Bordentown Township, Burlington Township, Eastampton, Evesham, Lumberton, Moorestown, North Hanover, Pemberton, Tabernacle and Westampton to ensure the number of registered voters in each district is appropriate. In some towns, new voting districts were created as part of that process.
- In Bordentown Township, one new voting district was created, bringing the total number of districts in the town to nine. The Bordentown Senior Community Center at 3 Municipal Drive will be used as a new polling location for District 1, District 7 and the new District 9.

“Voting is a fundamental right, and we have taken steps to ensure voters can exercise that right in safe, secure and accessible locations,” said Burlington County Elections Board Chair Heather Cheesman. “Primary Election voters also have the option to request a vote-by-mail ballot or vote early with a machine during the early voting period. We want them to know that however they choose to vote – with a vote-by-mail ballot or with a machine during the early voting period or on Primary Election Day – the systems in place are secure and their votes will be properly counted.”
Voters are also encouraged to bring their sample ballot with them to the polls during early voting and on Primary Election Day for a faster check-in.
Early voting
Voters are also reminded that they have the option to vote early with a machine at any of ten early voting locations that will be open daily during the early voting period from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, May 31.
Burlington County now has an additional early voting location at the Hainesport Township Municipal Building, 1401 Marne Highway, Hainesport.
A complete list of all ten early voting locations is available at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/2103/Early-Voting .
Any registered voter from any Burlington County town is eligible to cast their ballot at any of the early voting locations in the county. However, only declared Republicans and Democrats can cast ballots in the New Jersey Primary Election. Unaffiliated voters can participate by declaring a party affiliation with the Republican or Democratic party in advance of the election or at the polls during the early voting or Primary Election Day.
Vote by mail
Registered voters from either party can still request a vote-by-mail (VBM) ballot from the Burlington County Clerk’s Office now until 3 PM on June 1. Paper vote-by-mail application forms are available online at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/996/Vote-by-Mail-Information.
New Jersey also has an online application system that allows voters to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot online. To apply go to https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/mib-request (Valid Driver’s License or non-driver Identification card issued by the New Jerey Motor Vehicle Commission or a Social Security Number is required).
May 26 is the deadline to receive a VBM ballot in the mail. From May 27 through June 1, VBM ballots can only be received in-person from the Clerk’s Office at the Burlington County Elections Building at 301 Harper Drive, Moorestown, or the County Clerk’s Office at 50 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly.
Completed VBM ballots can be placed in any of 29 secure drop boxes located throughout the country. A list of the drop boxes is available at https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/2102/Secure-Ballot-Drop-Boxes .
