Participate in the 4th annual History Collaborative
This year the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources’ Office of Historic Preservation welcomes a new program partner to our 4th annual History Collaborative–the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN). Join OHP and Shulman + Associates along with the Miami-Dade Public Library System and HistoryMiami Museum and FPAN to celebrate Miami’s unique burial traditions and heritage sites and learn about cemetery preservation and clean up strategies.
The event will be held at Jefferson Reaves Sr. Park Community Center, where participants can have memorabilia digitized, record oral history interviews, and learn about best practices for cemetery documentation and preservation. Participants can opt to join the Florida Public Archaeology Network for a cemetery clean-up demonstration at nearby Lincoln Memorial Park historic cemetery.
There will be a free shuttle provided between the community center and the cemetery.
Free HistoryMiami Museum passes for the first 25 attendees!
