PENNSYLVANIA, March 16 - WHEREAS, In March 2022, Corporal O'Connor transferred to

Troop J, Embreeville, and in July 2022 was promoted to corporal

and continued serving with the Embreeville Patrol Unit; and

WHEREAS, During his career, Corporal O'Connor received

numerous recognitions for his service, including the

Commissioner's Area Command Significant Achievement Award, the

Blooming Grove Service Award, the Chester County Manhunt Service

Award in 2023 and recognition for his role in the 2015 Papal

Visit security detail; and

WHEREAS, On the evening of March 8, 2026, Corporal O'Connor

responded to a report of an erratic driver in West Caln

Township, Chester County, where the driver opened fire from

inside the vehicle, fatally striking Corporal O'Connor; and

WHEREAS, Corporal O'Connor was a 15-year veteran of the

Pennsylvania State Police who dedicated his career to protecting

communities across this Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his service, Corporal O'Connor faithfully

endeavored to preserve and protect the health, safety and

welfare of his fellow citizens; and

WHEREAS, In the finest tradition of public service, Corporal

O'Connor demonstrated courage, professionalism and integrity in

carrying out his duties and earned the respect and gratitude of

colleagues and communities throughout this Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Corporal O'Connor is survived by his wife Casey and

young daughter Kenzie, whose loss is shared by the entire

Pennsylvania State Police and communities across Chester County

and this Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Corporal Timothy J. O'Connor, Jr.'s, life and

service greatly benefited all those who lived, served and worked

with him; therefore be it
