Minister for Foreign Affairs visits China
SWEDEN, October 14 - Published
Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard will visit China on 16–17 October. During the visit, Ms Malmer Stenergard will meet with representatives from the Chinese Government to discuss issues of importance to relations between the two countries.
“China is the world’s second-largest economy and an emerging innovation nation. We welcome cooperation with China where this is possible and in line with our interests and values. The dialogue with Chinese representatives is important in promoting Swedish priorities in relation to finance, trade and security policy,” says Ms Malmer Stenergard.
Ms Malmer Stenergard’s trip to China takes place in the context of Sweden and China marking 75 years of diplomatic relations this year.
