SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 1414 hours, a Trooper assigned to the New Haven Barracks conducted a traffic stop on VT Route 22a in the Town of Addison for an observed motor vehicle violation.

 

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Michael Jerome (26) of Cornwall, VT. Investigation determined Jerome’s license was restricted to only operating vehicles equipped with an Ignition Interlock Device. Jerome’s vehicle was not equipped with such device. Jerome was cited to appear at the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on August 28, 2023, at 1230 hours.

 

Investigation also revealed Jerome had an active Arrest Warrant out of Chittenden County for Failure to Appear stemming from a previous Interlock Device Violation. Per the warrant, Jerome was re-cited to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division on June 20, 2023, at 0830 hours.
