Paving Work, Grayson/Fannin Counties

A pavement resurfacing project set to begin July 12, 2022, could affect travel on three roadways in Fannin and Grayson County.

Roadways included in this project include Business US 377B in Whitesboro and FM 84 in Denison from US 75 to Harbor Road, both in Grayson County, and State Highway 11 from SH 121 to SH 78 in Fannin County.

The contractor, Austin Bridge & Road Services LP, Irving, Texas, anticipates placing construction signs and barricades on July 12, officials said. This pavement improvement project is valued at more than $4 million, with a target completion date of Oct. 25, 2022.

The contractor will mill the existing pavement surface, apply a new hot-mix asphalt surface, and restripe each existing roadway. This work will require daytime lane closures, so motorists are urged to use alternate routes whenever possible while this work is underway.

Motorists who frequently travel in these areas are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also be prepared to encounter rough pavement and brief traffic delays, and should avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
