Northern District judges may keep virtual hearings after pandemic
(Subscription required) The district was among the first in the nation to begin remote proceedings following state government lockdown orders imposed in March. Since then, federal judges in San Francisco have expressed support for continuing to teleconference some hearings, even after vaccines are widely distributed.
