JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 19, 2018 - Yesterday, Governor Parson signed Executive Order 18-05, placing 47 counties on drought alert and called upon the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to activate the Drought Assessment Committee and the associated drought impact teams. Governor Parson’s news release is below.
Drought Monitor issued an updated drought map today. According to Drought Monitor, the estimated population in Missouri drought areas is almost 2.4 million people. For more information, visit this website at https://dnr.mo.gov/drought.htm.
