Turning Students' Dreams Into a Reality

NANOG’s College Immersion Program supports students on the path toward their careers in network engineering, operations, and architecture.

ANN ARBOR, MI, UNITED STATES, May 13, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- One of the most critical facets of NANOG’s mission is to foster the education and empowerment of the next generation of networking professionals. Central to these efforts are NANOG’s tools and resources designed just for students; including various forms of in-kind support, as well as four $10,000 scholarships awarded annually.

“NANOG's commitment to education runs deep,” says Edward McNair, Executive Director, “it's at the very heart of why NANOG was founded. The NCI program is an extension of our commitment to support the next generation of networking professionals.”

Connecting and engaging with the industry’s top minds:
The NANOG College Immersion Program (NCI), provides educators at North American universities the opportunity to sponsor up to five students at one of NANOG’s tri-annual meetings, and also covers airfare, registration, and room and board for each student.

The NCI program allows students a rare opportunity to meet and learn from working professionals in their field of study, and provides direct access to best-in-class content with an eye toward the future of innovation — helping them gain a competitive edge before they’ve ever graduated.
