Jen Coppin, MBA, Releases What's Your Sister Code?
Historically, women have associations and friendships that are often mangled with underlying jealousy, rivalry, and self-centeredness. In "What's Your Secret Code?" Coppin outlines several factors that explain why women are conflicted with the relationship they have with each other.
The author challenges women to replace negativity with positivity and then earnestly work towards building nurturing and respectful relationships. She says it’s quite possible to exchange hard realities, with what could be.
"The Sister Code is at the center of an ongoing conversation among women to improve their interpersonal relationships with each other," she stated. "The book asserts that in order to bring about collaborative change, women must work together as sisters and not foes."
Coppin also discusses several other topics such as marginalization and gender inequality. For example, women still do not have equal pay in the 21st century. She says these are among many issues which selfishly disregard the plight of women in a male-dominated, American society.
"More than anything, the book is an organizational model for solutions aimed at moving women to advocate, educate, and inspire each other," stated Fran Briggs, Publicist to Jen Coppin. “Jen challenges women to rejuvenate, develop, and love themselves, so they can inspire, uplift, and assist others.”
