This donation helps local high school students get access to leading edge technology to solve real life problems

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND, UNITED STATES, December 22, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- In 2016, The Squires Group, Inc. (TSGi), in a coordinated effort with Randy Hill, Director at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and a Captain at Code for NOVA, donated laptops to Code for NOVA to help the future generation of experts have access to leading edge technology. Code for NOVA is a group of civic developers, designers, storytellers and policy leaders. This group of volunteers is a part of the Code for America Brigade network, who contribute their skills toward using the web as a platform for local government and community service, as well as providing a skill-sharing environment to further local area tech education. For instance, Code for NOVA works with local Arlington schools, including Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Washington and Lee High School and Yorktown High School to identify students with a strong STEM aptitude. The goal is to challenge these students with coding projects using leading technology tools to solve real-life problems.
