Bob’s Butt Wipes: Keeping Clean from the Bottom Up
We owe the inspiration for this invention to a crew of hygienic construction workers who wanted their portable bathroom experience less . . . filthy. When their boss, Robert Delaney, noticed his workers carrying baby wipes with them when they used the portable on-site facilities, he asked them why. They told him they liked to be clean. That’s when he realized that grown men and women shouldn’t have to depend on the contents of a diaper bag when they need to use the bathroom.
Bob invented and patented a hanging flushable wipe dispenser that can attach onto virtually all toilet paper holders without hardware, convenient and within arms’ reach. Bob’s Butt Wipes work in conjunction with toilet paper to provide enhanced cleaning and some added comfort. If there was ever a product designed for the global market and those 7.5 billion people using bathrooms, it’s Bob’s Butt Wipes. The wipes are hypoallergenic, alcohol-free, and unscented. They’re also eco-friendly. That might sound like a lot of fuss for a product that serves a pretty basic purpose, but the environment is a concern both in and out of the septic scene. As a member of the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA), which sets the standards for the nonwovens/engineered fabrics industry, Bob’s Butt Wipes are sewer- and septic-friendly, and have been tested for flushability. The flushable wipe dispensers install in seconds and are guaranteed for at least two years of normal use.
Delaney’s Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign has set a goal to raise $10,000 by August 25. Educating the public about the product is one of the tasks which Bob’s Butt Wipes is determined to accomplish. Crowdfunding donations will help them achieve this goal as they finalize two additional product lines: BouDe’ Flushable Wipes, discreet dispensers use in homes and businesses, and Lil’ Booty’s Adventure Wipes geared for infants, and small children, which include stickers and tattoos to help motivate good bathroom hygiene.
Walgreens and grocery stores across the southern United States have been carrying the BouDe' wipes for almost a year, but they’re not the only big-name outfit that wants to help you clean up your act. Would you believe—Mickey and Minnie? That’s right, Disney is taking a look at the Adventure Wipes for their resorts, and so if you go on a cruise and you notice the product design, but it’s carrying a Mickey Mouse label, you’ll be right in assuming that underneath that Magic Kingdom moniker is Bob’s Butt Wipes. Different name, same product.
The squeamish cringe at the thought of having a national conversation about bathroom hygiene. But mothers who are potty-training their young children, hunters and outdoorsmen who don’t mind roughing it but have their limits, and office workers who would appreciate a little toileting tact are all going to clamor for a product that makes it easier to be clean without carrying a packet of baby wipes everywhere they go. Bob’s Butt Wipes—or, as he describes them, the polish after the paper—makes it possible for everyone, regardless of age or gender, to answer the calls of nature with a little finesse.
About Bob's Butt Wipes
Louisiana building contractor Robert Delaney, the CEO of Sterling Global Products (www.sterlingglobalproducts.com), invented Bob’s Butt Wipes because his construction crews wanted to be clean after using the portable toilets on a building site. From that unlikely genesis comes his patented flushable wipe dispenser, with multiple product lines geared for home, office, and camping use. Already a hit in metropolitan New Orleans Walgreens and grocery stores, and rapidly expanding throughout the country, Bob’s Butt Wipes are building a cleaner world from the bottom up!
