Real World Flight Simulator takes to the Gaming Skies

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The longing for flight has been a human desire ever since the earthbound ancient civilizations marveled at winged creatures and wondered what it would be like to leave the earth and soar into the sky. Mythology tells the tale of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun with his makeshift wings and fell to earth. Even Leonardo da Vinci was sometimes distracted from his paintbrush, wondering what it would be like to leave his studio and take off into the air. Maybe he shared his aerial aspirations while painting a portrait, and his fanciful notions inspired the Mona Lisa to smile.

When the Wright Brothers left the ground of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, for 11 seconds back in 1903, they captured the dream of our primitive ancestors. But now flight is old news. Everyone has been on a plane, and the thrill of being airborne has been replaced by the tedium and annoyance of airport security, lost baggage, and delays. But while the real-life jet airplanes may have turned out to be a disappointment to the imagination, flight simulators have opened up a new avenue of stimulating entertainment that hasn’t lost the capacity to thrill.

True, today’s simulators lack both the graphics capacity and an expansive simulation environment to make the experience feel authentic. But with the Real World Flight Simulator, gaming aficionados have the best of both worlds: the power of the PC stimulator combined with the facility of your mobile app. It happens with Apple’s new Metal and Swift development software, along with the Unreal Engine 4, and upgrades the mobile experience to the console level, sometimes even to PC level.

Indiegogo wants to see this project take flight, and that’s why Sasha Hagan’s crowdfunding campaign has been cleared for take-off. The development team’s credentials come from Boeing and Microsoft, stellar brands in the fields of aeronautics and computer technology. The destination? Raising $30,000 in order to develop a full mobile simulator. It’ll take a lot of resources, including new computer hardware, software, and development resources. Real World Flight Simulator promises that the majority of the planes will provide certification from their manufacturers to confirm that authentic exterior and interior models have been provided for the wide variety of aircraft, including Airbus, Boeing, DeHaviland, Bombardier, and more—a first for the mobile landscape. In addition, accurate flight dynamics will be part of the experience. The Real World Flight Simulator website is in the finishing stages and once it’s up and running (estimated launch date is in a week), gaming fans and crowdfunding supporters will be able to learn more about this exciting new venture. Real World Flight Simulator will be released publicly in mid- to late 2015, with the private alpha available on January 31, 2015.

The Real World Flight Simulator will cost $1.99 when it’s ready for the market, unless it’s included in your perk package. Add-ons will cost from $.99 to $4.99.
By donating to the campaign, your money brings you on board a commercial venture that promises to be a lot of fun for anyone who wants the best in flight simulation gaming. By starting off with a $2 donation, you become a part of simulation history. You will receive a copy of the game on both iOS and Android on release as a reward for your $20 gift of support. Donors who give $50 will receive early beta access to the game so that they can play along with the other flight simulator enthusiasts, as well as the developers. The $50 level will also include all aircraft and scenery packages. The $500 Golden Ticket donation provides donors with one-on-one time with the Real World Flight Simulator developers and a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the development process. If you’ve always yearned to be in the developer’s cockpit, a $1000 donation seats you in Enthusiast Class, where you can help the developers add the features that you want to see.
Real World Flight Simulator. All the fun of flight, and you don’t have to eat airplane food. Maybe that’s why the Mona Lisa smiled.
