2026 Regional Investments Announced

Yesterday, Madison County Judge/Executive Reagan Taylor attended a Community Project Funding press conference at Forcht Bank in Lexington. Congressman Andy Barr outlined more than $16 million in federal investments for projects across Central Kentucky and the Sixth District.

The agenda included infrastructure upgrades, water and sewer improvements, public safety equipment, and industrial park development throughout multiple counties. Regional leaders gathered to review how these investments will strengthen communities across the Commonwealth.

$2 Million for the Central Kentucky Regional Business Park

Congressman Andy Barr announced $2 million in federal funding for the Central Kentucky Triple Crown Business Park. Scott County Fiscal Court submitted the funding request on behalf of the regional partnership.

Lexington-Fayette Urban County, Madison County, Scott County, and the City of Berea formed the partnership to advance coordinated economic development through the Central Kentucky Business Park Authority.

The funding will support site preparation and critical infrastructure improvements, including transportation access and utility readiness. These improvements will position the regional business park to compete for new employers and private-sector investment.

“The infrastructure decisions we make today determine the kind of jobs and opportunities Madison County can deliver for decades to come,” said Judge/Executive Reagan Taylor.

Additional details about the business park investment appear in Congressman Barr’s official announcement.
