2026 Spring Road Paving Plan

2026 Spring Road Paving Plan

The Madison County Fiscal Court has approved the Madison County Road Department’s 2026 Spring Road Paving Plan. The approved list includes roads across the county that will be resurfaced as part of this year’s work.

How Roads Were Selected

The County Road Department evaluates roads using a standardized rating system. Crews assess:

  • Pavement condition
  • Structural integrity
  • Drainage performance
  • Overall safety

This process allows the Fiscal Court to prioritize projects using objective data.

Focus on Highest-Need Roads

Madison County uses a “worst-first” approach when planning resurfacing work. This means funding goes to the roads in the most need of repair.

This approach helps:

  • Improve safety on deteriorated roads
  • Extend the life of the road network
  • Reduce long-term repair costs
