Groundbreaking of Triple Crown Business Park

Madison County Fiscal Court proudly joined the City of Berea, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and Scott County for the official groundbreaking of the Triple Crown Business Park in Berea, Kentucky. Moreover, the ceremony brought together local, regional, and state leaders to celebrate a milestone that marks the beginning of a new era of economic growth for Central Kentucky.

Four Governments, One Shared Vision

Two years of planning, partnership, and persistence led to Wednesday’s groundbreaking in Berea. For the first time, four regional governments united around a single economic development vision, establishing the Triple Crown Business Park as a shared regional investment. As a result, the 300-acre park now provides the space and infrastructure needed to attract businesses and create jobs across Central Kentucky.

“Today’s groundbreaking is about more than turning dirt. It’s about creating opportunity. It’s about building a future where people of Madison County can find good-paying jobs close to home, close to their families, their schools, and their community,” stated Judge/Executive Reagan Taylor.

What This Means for Madison County Residents

The Triple Crown Business Park represents more than a development project. As businesses move into the park and jobs are created, the agreement ensures that tax revenue flows directly back to participating communities. After a 10% hosting fee allocated to the City of Berea, each participating county receives an equal share of the tax revenue generated by the development.

That revenue supports the services and infrastructure that Madison County residents rely on every day. From roads to public safety, the long-term investment in the Triple Crown Business Park is an investment in the quality of life for every family in our community.

Berea Mayor Bruce Fraley noted, “I look forward to the next steps following today’s groundbreaking as our ultimate goals are to seat new industry in Central Kentucky, to create good-paying, quality jobs, and to ultimately uplift our communities by creating economic opportunities for our people.”
