JTISC hosts Transition to TickITplus seminar
/EINPresswire.com/ The JTISC (Joint TickIT Industry Steering Committee) will host their first TickITplus event on 26th April 2012, entitled 'Transition to TickITplus...what, why and how?'
The seminar (which takes place in the Lloyd's Register Building in London) is designed to promote awareness of the scheme and to explain how existing TickIT registered organisations can transition to TickITplus. The seminar will include talks from Phil Willoughby (LRQA's ICT Technical Manager) and David Wynn (TickITplus Auditor). Representatives from Nexor, IPL and Logica, who have all made the transition, will be present at the event, relating their experiences and recommendations.
Delegates will hope to enjoy a day of learning about the new certification scheme, including benefits and a comparison between TickITplus and CMMI. The TickITplus transition process and Core Scheme Requirements will be an essential part to the day.
TickITplus is a certification scheme that was launched in 2011, intending to offer a flexible, multi-level approach to IT quality and certification assessment. It is the first major upgrade of the existing ISO 9001 TickIT sector scheme in over 15 years of operation, and will radically change the way software and IT within the framework of international standards and quality certification is used. The TickITplus scheme capitalises on the strengths of TickIT, whilst recognising the changes in today's world of systems and software development.
Sponsors of the seminar include BSI, DNV, LRQA and IT Governance, who will all be present at the event.
You can book your place on the event through any of the below websites. Each delegate is asked for a small contribution of £25 plus VAT.
IT Governance (www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/3822)
