City issues public surveys at all Skyline stations

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) is surveying all Skyline riders to gather feedback on our system’s performance and our onboard rider experience.

Access to this survey is provided at all 13 Skyline stations. The 27-question survey can be accessed via QR code on pamphlets available at stations and is available in six languages. These pamphlets are located at the front of each Skyline station, next to the Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs).

The survey is currently being administered globally through the Community of Metros (COMET), an international benchmarking group that measures the performance of 45 metro systems across 42 cities worldwide. Through this annual survey, all member agencies, including major systems such as London Underground, New York Transit, Tokyo Metro, and Singapore SMRT, are actively sharing experiences and comparing long-term performance to establish best practices, with a focus exclusively on urban rail, specifically metro systems.

The survey will help DTS better understand rider needs and identify opportunities for improvement. Questions cover topics including train reliability, service availability, customer service, and overall experience.

The survey will be available until May 10th.

DTS encourages all Skyline riders to provide honest feedback to help guide future improvements to the transit system.
