MPD Makes Arrest in Online Marketplace Armed Robberies
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect in two online marketplace robberies.
• Armed Robbery (Gun): On Friday, October 3, 2025, at approximately 4:16 p.m., the victim and the suspect met in the 3900 block of C Street, Southeast, for a prearranged transaction. Once at the location, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his property. The victim surrendered the property, and the suspect fled the scene. CCN 25151663
• Armed Robbery (Gun): On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the victim and the suspect met in the 100 block of 40th Street, Northeast, for a prearranged transaction. Once at the location, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his property. After a brief struggle, the suspect obtained the victim’s property and fled the scene. CCN 25151665
On Friday, October 10, 2025, 18-year-old Ryan Williams, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery (Gun).
