UTV Crash, Litchfield

Litchfield, NH– Just after 2:30 p.m. on September 7, 2025, New Hampshire Fish and Game was contacted by New Hampshire State Police Dispatch, that an individual had been involved in an OHRV crash in the town of Litchfield. The crash was located behind 18 Cardinal Lane, on Litchfield Town Forest land. Litchfield Police Department, Litchfield Fire Rescue and NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers responded to the crash.
When first responders initially got to the scene, they found the operator of the UTV unconscious beneath the UTV. The victim was extricated from beneath the UTV and CPR was initiated. The operator was then transported to the Elliot Hospital for further treatment. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. While all aspects of the investigation remain open, initial reports from a witness suggest a possible mechanical issue.
New Hampshire Fish and Game reminds OHRV operators to seek landowner permission before operating an OHRV on land of another.
