SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the above date and time, Troopers with the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop after multiple observed motor vehicle violations on US Route 7 near the intersection with Vermont Route 22a in the Town of Ferrisburgh. The operator was identified as Travis J. Simpson (29) of Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Troopers observed several indicators of impairment and Simpson was screen for DUI.  Simpson was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. Simpson was transported to the New Haven State Police Barracks for processing where he was later released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on December 16, 2024.
