16–20 December: 9:00–17:30 (India time)
Summary
ADBI, in partnership with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) of India and the Asian Development Bank’s India Resident Mission, is hosting an Advanced Case Writing Course, which will take place in three blocks of sessions.
The first of these blocks will be held in person over 5 days in New Delhi, targeting 60 government officials and experts from government-affiliated training institutions in India. The participants were selected through a rigorous review process of case proposals submitted after the introductory course. This course will give participants an opportunity to apply lessons from the course in developing their own cases. It will include afternoon sessions that will be devoted to participants working on cases of their own choosing. The workshop faculty will provide coaching and feedback throughout these sessions.
The Advanced Case Writing workshop will also look at cases from the perspective of case users as classroom teaching vehicles. Participants will be required to complete pre-reading materials before the course.
After the initial block of in-person workshops, participants will be expected to work independently and develop an initial draft of their case studies, as well as a PowerPoint presentation. The second and third blocks of the course will be held online, via Zoom, with timing to be set later.
