EO From Gov. Pillen Maintains Electrical Output During Heat Wave
LINCOLN, NE – Today, Governor Jim Pillen issued Executive Order (EO) 24-15, which provides emergency relief for power providers due to the recent heat wave.
The action allows state authorities to relax the temperature limit at which water can be discharged from such facilities. The EO will allow power providers to safely exceed that limit, ensuring that providers are able to maintain electrical output and continue to meet community needs during a time of extreme electrical demand.
The order will stay in place until just prior to midnight, Sept. 15. The EO is attached to this release.
