Service Learning Showcase

April 2, 2024

The Service Learning Showcase is an annual event that showcases and celebrates the work of faculty, students, local educators, and community partners through service learning. The Service Learning Showcase will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Thompson Alumni Center.

Please RSVP for the event by emailing unosla@unomaha.edu.

This year, the Service Learning Academy will be hosting a panel discussion, followed by various poster presentations that highlight the impact of service learning on the student experience and on our community. The Service Learning Academy is calling for faculty members and community partners to author posters that articulate how engagement has been integrated into their teaching, research, and/or service.

With summer and fall enrollment open, the Service Learning Academy encourages any faculty members interested in teaching a service learning course to contact us at unosla@unomaha.edu or 402-554-6019!

We work with faculty members to assist with the development of various types of service learning projects – from conceptualizing the project to reaching out to community partners and P12 classes to event support.

To learn more about service learning, our priority areas, types of projects, past projects, and the impact service learning has had on the UNO campus, visit our website at sla.unomaha.edu.
