Amira Jadoon is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Clemson University, prior to which she worked at the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. She is also a non-resident fellow at the Stimson Center in Washington, D.C. and an associate editor of the European Journal of International Security.

Jadoon's work examines the effectiveness of international security and counterterrorism policies, the various causes and consequences of political violence and terrorism, and the drivers of terrorist inter-group alliances and rivalries. She has published in numerous journals including the Journal of Politics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Studies Quarterly, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Studies in Conflict and Terrorism. She is the co-author of the book, The Islamic State in Afghanistan and Pakistan: Strategic Alliances and Rivalries.
