Washington, D.C. - U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley released the following statement after the U.S. House on Friday and U.S. Senate today passed the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, which secures remaining funding for the government through the end of Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24).

“The U.S. Chamber applauds the House and Senate for coming together in a bipartisan way to pass remaining FY24 funding. Americans rely on the government doing its job, so they can do theirs. That includes passing a budget and keeping the government funded and open. That’s why we’re calling on Congress to begin negotiating FY25 funding now to avoid another stopgap funding situation later this year.

“There are also other timely priorities for Congress to address, including passing the bipartisan tax deal and providing support to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. We urge Congress and the White House to continue working together to deliver these much-needed policy solutions for the American people and business community.”
