College of the Redwoods is thrilled to present the 2024 juried exhibition of student artwork in the Floyd Bettiga Gallery on CR’s main campus from Tuesday, March 19 through Friday, May 3. The work included in the show spans a range of media and styles, including realistic and abstract painting, life drawing, functional ceramics, landscape and conceptual photography, jewelry, and sculpture. It represents the breadth of CR Art Department offerings and the accomplishments of 2023-2024 CR students. A public reception, including the presentation of awards, will take place in the gallery Wednesday, April 17, 2 pm to 5 pm.

The judge of this year’s Student Art Exhibition is Assistant Professor of Painting at Cal Poly Humboldt, Eliseo Casiano, a painter who documents time through portraiture. Using an interplay of vibrant color relationships and reference to light, he depicts radiant beings existing in space. Casiano will present student awards and discuss his selections in the gallery during the reception on April 17.
