CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Motorists traveling on I-40 in Cumberland County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a temporary impact on traffic.

Tomorrow, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm CST, Tennessee Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be performing pothole repairs on I-40 West at mile marker 324 that will require a temporary closure of the left lane.

This work is weather dependent. Drivers should expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
