COLUMBUS, OHIO, UNITED STATES, May 3, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ -- The Union Bank Company goes above and beyond to give back to local nonprofits in the communities they serve. Employees of The Union Bank Co. spend time giving back to these organizations and the list is always growing. During the month of April, The Union Bank Co. chose three nonprofits that are spread throughout Ohio. These nonprofits were Habitat for Humanity of Fairfield Co., The Emergency Clearinghouse Food Pantry of Pickaway Co. and Sandusky County Habitat for Humanity.

The mission of Habitat For Humanity of Fairfield and Sandusky Counties is to provide a world where everyone has a decent place to live. The bank’s mortgage lending teams at various branches across the state frequently volunteer for this organization to continue their goal of securing housing for community members when they can’t afford it.

“So many Ohioans are struggling to provide basic necessities for their families, and during the month of April we chose to give back to nonprofits that help fulfill those needs,” said Dian Franks, Marketing Director of The Union Bank Co. “We want to do whatever we can to give the people in our communities a roof over their heads and food on their plates every single day,” Franks added.

Emergency Clearinghouse Food Pantry of Pickaway Co. is another nonprofit The Union Bank Co. supported last month. The food pantry provides 12,000 meals a month which serves anywhere from 800-1,200 individuals. The Emergency Clearinghouse provides everything from dairy, meat, dry goods, produce, blankets and toiletry items to those who need them. Without this local food pantry, many families would go hungry every single month. Emergency Clearinghouse relies solely on donations to provide necessities as well as volunteers.

“The donation from The Union Bank Co. will help us keep our shelves filled with the scarcely donated items that our families need to make truly complete nutritious meals,” said Bradlie Pokrandt, Director of Emergency Clearinghouse Food Pantry of Pickaway Co. “It is difficult to fill that need with an unpredictable inventory. Having some wiggle room to shop is a true blessing. We simply can’t do it without community support like The Union Bank Co.,” she added.
