Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) puts Orphan Parties Together for Thousands of Children in 18 Countries

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES, May 3, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ -- Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) puts on an orphan party for the millions of orphans around the world on a yearly basis. This year, with the support of our donors, LIFE was able to put together orphan parties for thousands of orphans in 18 countries, including: Bangladesh, Bosnia, Djibouti, Gambia, Ghana, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria and Turkey. Parties included a variety of games and activities for the kids, as well as entertainment, toys and a meal.

“Orphans are so dear to my heart, and because of that, I genuinely enjoy this time of year that we (LIFE) get to put on a party for them,” said Dr. Hany Saqr, CEO. “Seeing the smiles on their faces at the parties brings me so much joy knowing that with all their hardships they face, they have a day to just be a kid, to be worry-free as they should be,” he continued.

According to UNICEF, there are over 100 million orphans globally, who rely on the support of others for survival. In most cases, the caregivers of orphans are underprivileged, living in a country where there is war, economic crisis, poverty and very little or no government and community support for orphans and caregivers.

“When my father died, I thought it was the end of my life, but with the intervention of LIFE, I now have hope. LIFE supports both my education and welfare and surprises me with gifts which always makes me happy. Thank you, LIFE,” said Ibrahim Bah of Sierra Leone.

For years, LIFE has been providing support to orphans in 20 countries through monthly sponsorships that provide them with their daily necessities such as food, clothing and educational essentials. Sponsorships are available for: Afghanistan, Ghana, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Syria, Palestine, Senegal, Haiti, Bangladesh, Mali, Ethiopia, Kenya, Yemen, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Indonesia and Pakistan.
