Watch for road closures on Tama County Road V-18 starting April 5

Posted on: April 03, 2023

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – April 3, 2023 – As part of a project on U.S. 30 in Tama County, the Iowa Department of Transportation will need to close Tama County Road V-18 starting April 5, weather permitting.

The closure will allow us to do concrete paving in the area. We plan to have Tama County Road V-18 re-opened June 16.

If you’re driving in the area, here’s a map to help you get around the construction work.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
