TCEQ approves fines totaling $428,613

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $410,903 against 11 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one agriculture, one air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, one industrial wastewater discharge, two municipal wastewater discharge, two petroleum storage tank, and one public water system.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one multi-media and one municipal solid waste.

In addition, on Feb.14 and Feb. 21, the executive director approved penalties totaling $17,710 against 19 entities.
