SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On December 10th, 2021, the Vermont State Police were dispatched to a death investigation in Sunderland VT.  The decedent was identified as Bryan Hawley.  The investigation determined Hawley died from an accidental overdose of Fentanyl and Tramadol combination.  After a lengthy investigation, Amanda Morey was arrested on March 23rd, 2023 for Selling or Dispensing a regulated drug to Bryan Hawley ultimately resulting in his death.  Vermont State Police detectives are continuing to investigate, and additional charges are likely.  Anyone with information that could assist investigators in this case is asked to call the Vermont State Police in Shaftsbury at (802)-442-5421, or leave an anonymous tip online at http://vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.
