Today, Utah Attorney General Sean D. Reyes applauded the reauthorization of the bi-partisan Abolish Human Trafficking Act. First signed into law in 2018, this bill would extend critical programs through 2027 to help combat modern-day slavery and provides security measures as well. The bill authorizes funding to the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security.
The reauthorization also extends funding for the Department of Justice Domestic Trafficking Victims Fund.
