When Trooper Currier pulled out to conduct a motor vehicle stop, the speeding vehicle continued southbound toward Exit 18, the Georgia exit. VSP followed the vehicle for a short time until it attempted to take Exit 18, at which point the vehicle crashed. The operator was determined to be a 17-year-old juvenile. He was checked by EMS at the scene for minor scratches, but otherwise was not injured. Due to the age of the operator, no additional information about this incident is available.
