Kids and adults alike have a blast at Kids Fishing Day!

Jackson - With over 275 kids in attendance, the annual Jackson Hole Kids Fishing Day event was again a huge success! The event is organized by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department each year along with several partners and volunteers. It was again held at Rendezvous Park (“R” Park) managed by the Jackson Hole Land Trust. Kids and their families enjoyed several learning stations before getting a free lunch and then trying their luck in the "R" Park pond. Several kids caught Snake River cutthroat trout recently stocked by the Game and Fish Department's Auburn Hatchery.
But every day is Kids Fishing Day in Wyoming. Wyoming resident youth under age 14 do not need a license and their creel limit is the same as those requiring a license. So head out to R Park or one of the many other waters in Wyoming to enjoy some fishing!
