(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, July 8, 2022, in the 900 Block of Wahler Place, Southeast.

At approximately 9:51 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located evidence of a shooting but no victims. A short time later, an adult female victim was located at a local hospital seeking treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Further investigation revealed, the suspect fired in the direction of the victim but did not strike the victim.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
