TAJIKISTAN, March 15 - Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, had a telephone conversation with the acting President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the elected President of this country, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The head of our state congratulated the esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful holding of the presidential elections in the country.

The Leader of the Nation also warmly congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his election to the highest state post of friendly Turkmenistan, wishing him good health and great success in responsible activities for the benefit of the further development and prosperity of Turkmenistan.

It was noted that the fraternal people of Turkmenistan under the leadership of respected Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov achieved significant success in the socio-economic development of the country and strengthening its authority in the international arena.

In this context, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the efforts of esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to strengthen and expand creative interaction between the two countries.

The parties expressed their readiness to consistently continue a trusting interstate dialogue across the entire spectrum of the bilateral and multilateral agenda of relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

At the end of the conversation, the Leader of the Nation invited the elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to pay an official visit to Tajikistan at his convenience.
