Portion of US 259 Scheduled for Resurfacing

ATLANTA – A portion of US Highway 259 in Ore City is scheduled to be resurfaced according to plans approved in February by TxDOT.

“The resurfacing project will begin at Meddlin Creek and end 0.5 miles south of FM 450,” said Area Engineer Wendy Starkes.

Longview Bridge and Road, LTD. of Longview was awarded the contract with a bid of $1.9 million.

Work is expected to begin in May 2022 and should be completed around August.
