A RESOLUTION

Designating the week of August 15 through 21, 2021, as

"Pennsylvania Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Week"

in Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, The brave men and women who serve in the National

Guard and Reserve answer our nation's call without hesitation,

leaving their families and civilian employment to support our

communities at home or protect our nation's interests overseas;

and

WHEREAS, The men and women in the National Guard and Reserve

answered the call in 2020, serving in foreign nations, in

communities during the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest, and

at our Nation's Capitol Building; and

WHEREAS, Employers of National Guard and Reserve service

members make sacrifices to enable them to serve without

reservation or concern for their civilian employment; and

WHEREAS, Employers of National Guard and Reserve service

members play a critical role in the success of our national

defense strategy and the readiness of the United States Armed
