Inaugural Book Launch September 25

As a Black, Muslim woman, a natural part of my focus has been to help those authors who are often on the fringes and whose voices are frequently not preserved.”

CLEVELAND, OH, UNITED STATES, September 22, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Award-winning anthropologist, author, and entrepreneur Zarinah El-Amin announced the first graduation of the Power Author Academy, and the world premiere of eight new books by eight women authors, part of her effort to tackle the dearth of diversity in the publishing industry.

On September 25, Book Power Publishing will launch eight new women writers of nonfiction. These culturally diverse authors, who wrote their books during the pandemic, reflect a wide range of experiences and voices. Yet it is El-Amin’s message that sharing our stories gives us power while helping others that may resonate most of all.

El-Amin is a cultural expert and the founder of Book Power Publishing, an independent publishing, consulting and author services company. Her goal is to help authors publish books that leave a legacy, generate multiple streams of income, and spread their message wide.

After losing her mom to cancer in 2018, El-Amin began to recognize the importance of leaving a legacy by sharing and preserving stories. When the pandemic hit, she was reminded that no one is guaranteed a tomorrow and she was inspired to launch her program, The Power Author Academy. The Academy, a division of El-Amin’s Book Power Publishing, was created specifically to give authors ownership over their work while providing the support they need to self-publish successfully.

“So many people wish and dream about writing a book one day but they don't know how. We provide the structure and system to make those book dreams come true,” says El-Amin. “And as a Black, Muslim woman, a natural part of my focus has been to help those authors who are often on the fringes and whose voices are frequently not preserved. The pandemic was a wake-up call for many of us and a lot of my clients looked around and realized that it could be now or never,” she adds.

The works to be released range from memoirs to self-help and business and include:
Surviving Oakland: A Reflective Journey Into Finding My Truth by Aminah Adcock
Rebuild: Money Management for Single Moms by Basila Muhammad Guisse
The Emerging Woman by Carmen René
In Spite Of: A Memoir of Family Secrets,, Professional Struggles, and Personal Success by Katrina Renea Carpenter
