TCEQ approves fines totaling $284,945

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $218,968 against 19 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: seven air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, one industrial wastewater discharge, one municipal wastewater discharge, one petroleum storage tank, one public water system, and two water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: two air quality, one municipal solid waste, one petroleum storage tank, and one public water system.

In addition, on Feb. 2 and 9, the executive director approved penalties totaling $65,977 against 22 entities.
