Vote Safely and Securely
By Mail: To be eligible to vote in the November 3, 2020 General Election your mail-in application must be postmarked no later than October 9, 2020. It must be received by your local board of elections no later than October 14, 2020. (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-210(3))
In Person: To be eligible to vote in the November 3, 2020 General Election you may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day. Your application must be received no later than October 9, 2020.
Change of Address: Your local county board of elections must have your change of address request in-hand no later than October 14, 2020 to be eligible to vote at your new polling site on November 3, 2020. (N.Y. Election Law Section 5-208(3))
If you were honorably discharged from the US Military or became a naturalized US Citizen after October 9, 2020, you may register in person at the Board of Elections up until October 24, 2020. (N.Y. Election Law Sections 5-210, 5-211, 5-212).This is also the last day to deliver your ballot in-person to the local board of elections, or any poll site.
