“The proposed federal budget released by the White House looks to extend tax cuts to the wealthy on the backs of low-income and vulnerable individuals. Let’s be clear, the only way we can prosper as a country is by lifting all boats and ensuring that we are building a tolerant and just society that extends a hand to our neighbors in need.

The proposed budget cuts wipe out the safety net and jeopardize the overall health and well-being of our communities. This is an outright assault on our neighbors who depend on these federally funded programs to access to health care, housing, behavioral health services and food assistance. I urge the California Congressional delegation to reject this proposal and stand with us in building a healthy California for all.”
