TCEQ approves fines totaling $496,578

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $353,400 against 31 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: eight air quality, one industrial wastewater discharge, four municipal wastewater discharge, one petroleum storage tank, nine public water system, and two water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one municipal solid waste, two petroleum storage tank, two public water system, and one water quality.

In addition, on April 28 and May 5, the executive director approved penalties totaling $143,178 against 67 entities.
