TCEQ approves fines totaling $611,978
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $516,253 against 44 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: nine air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, one industrial hazardous waste, three multimedia, two municipal wastewater discharge, nine petroleum storage tank, 11 public water system, and three water quality.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: two municipal solid waste, one petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.
In addition, on June 2, the executive director approved penalties totaling $95,725 against 41 entities.
