Daylight Detour on Route 1004 Somerset County

​The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced Somerset County Maintenance forces will be implementing a daylight closure on Route 1004 (Cornerstone Road), Monday, June 8,  in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County to make base repairs to the roadway.

Traffic will be detoured during the hours of 7:00 AM and approximately 3:30 PM for approximately two weeks.

Traffic will be detoured on Route 1006 (Causeway Drive) between Shanksville and Route 160.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job-site, and relevant training.
