PHOENIX, ARIZ., UNITED STATES, May 15, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The law offices of Lerner and Rowe are keen to announce the renewal of their $25K annual partnership with the #LovePup Foundation’s ‘It’s Hip to Chip’ program. ‘It’s Hip to Chip’ was created by #LovePup to help reduce the number of adopted dogs becoming lost and homeless in Maricopa County. The pilot program had a successful first 12 months and celebrated it’s one-year anniversary on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control West shelter (2500 S. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009).— Kevin Rowe, ESQ.
As part of the celebration, Lerner and Rowe gave away dog-friendly frisbees and bandanas, as well as poop-bag dispensers. Other community partners in attendance included AZ Pet Vet that offered free microchipping and Safeway/Albertsons that handed out dog food and treats. Food trucks were also present with offerings for pet parents and other guests.

The It’s Hip to Chip Program aims to ensure that all dogs adopted from either of the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Animal Shelters receive a microchip upon their adoption. Microchips make it easier for owners to find their lost pets by storing the owner’s contact information in a database. And, since the microchip is implanted under the dog’s skin, there’s no need to worry about losing the device like a collar or tag.
